SPACE Risk contains a European-wide continuously-growing spatial database including:
- street and city maps (Navteq)
- infrastructure and land use data
- points of interest (e.g. hospitals, petrol stations, airports from Navteq)
- address geocoding
- protection areas (e.g. Natura 2000)
- socio demographic data
- industry data
- etc.
To use SPACE, the user only needs the Internet. The user-friendly and easy-to-use state of the art application using Web 2.0 technology shortens the learning curve. SPACE Risk also enables users without any technical knowledge to execute complex analysis. Moreover, SPACE Risk contains a dynamic user administration which affords the registration of executed analysis. So the user is able to notice spatial changes in the locations which have previously been analyzed.
